Gates of open at 6:30pm, movie at 8pm! A new documentary, Return to the Big Skies: The Story of Miss Montana to Normandy tells the story of the race against the clock to get a 75-year old C-47 transport aircraft, Miss Montana, back into the air in time to fly to Europe to honor the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. From her pivotal role in the Mann Gulch tragedy, to the incredible effort by hundreds of Montana volunteers to restore her to flight, the film is a tribute to the community spirit of Montana and the history of forestry aviation pioneered here.
This screening will honor the work of the hundreds of volunteers and donors who made Miss Montana fly again. All profits will help keep this remarkable in fly the skies of Montana and beyond.
